Most instructors build time into their presentations for discussion; a give-and-take with members who are genuinely interested in the subject matter and can bring real-life experiences to the conversation. Both can enjoy and learn from this exchange.

Another key feature of CCAL activities is the opportunity to socialize with like-minded people. The free-form conversations might be about the class itself, community events, or sharing pictures of the grandchildren. And sometimes there are snacks.
